The City of Moorpark will close out its 2026 Movies in the Park series with a free outdoor screening of ParaNorman on Saturday, Oct. 10, at Arroyo Vista Community Park.

The animated Halloween-season pick, rated PG, starts at 6:30 p.m. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. at the park, 4550 Tierra Rejada Road.

Admission is free.

The city posted details on its official X account on Tuesday, Sept. 29. The movie will be shown near the recreation center building, and the city recommends parking in lots A and B for the closest access.

Attendees can bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on the grass. A snack shack will be on site, though families are welcome to pack their own food and drinks. No alcohol is permitted, and no animals are allowed except service animals.

ParaNorman caps a five-film lineup running June through October that the city calls "a great American Movie Road Trip," tied to the country's 250th anniversary. Earlier screenings included The Goonies on June 13, Cars on July 11, The Princess and the Frog on Aug. 8 and Super 8 on Sept. 12, according to the city's Movies in the Park page. The series is free to attend thanks to sponsors, the city said.

Oct. 10 is the final screening of the 2026 series.
