The Camarillo Public Library will bring live Flamenco guitar, dance and rhythms to its Community Room on Saturday, Sept. 26, in a free performance open to all ages.

The hour-long show runs from 1 to 2 p.m. at the library, 4101 Las Posas Road. The Friends of the Camarillo Public Library are sponsoring the event, according to the library's social media announcement. No tickets or registration are required.

The City of Camarillo promoted the performance on its social media account Sept. 19, describing a program of guitar, powerful rhythms and dramatic dance. The city encouraged attendees to bring flowers, fans and castanets and to join in cheering "Olé!" Audience participation is welcome throughout the show.

The event is part of the library's programming for National Hispanic Heritage Month, observed Sept. 15 through Oct. 15. The library has a history of marking the month with Flamenco performances. A similar event took place in September 2022, and the library hosted Los Angeles-based Latin Flamenco band Kimera in July 2015.

No performer or ensemble has been announced for the Sept. 26 show. The library has not released details about other Hispanic Heritage Month events scheduled through Oct. 15. Residents can contact the library at (805) 388-5222 or visit camarillolibrary.org for updates on the lineup and additional programming.

The library is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
