The Ventura County Sheriff's Office logged an elder abuse call and three theft reports among 16 Camarillo incidents on Thursday, Oct. 15, according to the agency's calls-for-service data.

Deputies responded to the elder abuse call on Ripley Street at 3:24 p.m. The log does not indicate an arrest or the outcome of the response.

Three separate theft calls came in within roughly 80 minutes. Each was categorized as a theft not involving a residence or vehicle. Two were on Las Posas Road, at 2:25 p.m. and 3:43 p.m. The third was on North Lantana Street at 3:38 p.m.

A suspicious circumstances call also went out on Las Posas Road at 2:13 p.m., preceding the two theft reports at that location. The log does not say whether the four Las Posas Road and North Lantana Street calls are connected.

The remaining Camarillo calls included six traffic stops between roughly 2:37 p.m. and 3:28 p.m., a welfare check on Antonio Avenue at 3:02 p.m., a business alarm on Balboa Circle at 2:51 p.m., a traffic-related call near Arneill Road and Camarillo Village Sq. at 2:18 p.m., a follow-up on Dunnigan Street at 3:45 p.m. and a broadcast on Mission Oaks Boulevard at 3:26 p.m.

Partial-day snapshot

The data was captured at approximately 3:45 p.m., meaning additional calls may have been dispatched later Thursday. The calls-for-service feed records dispatched responses, not investigative outcomes, so no arrest or case-resolution details appear.

Residents who witness a crime or have information about any of these incidents can contact the Ventura County Sheriff's Office Camarillo station at 805-388-5100 or the Moorpark station at 805-532-2700.
